I was asked to record Frogburd for their album release concert and since i am working on live visuals for them, I decided to cut a video with some graphic overlays to kind of test them out. The sound could of definitely been better, but next time I will have some visuals for a projector and a separate mic for better sound.

the Scott Pilgrim series

Just read the first five books in this series by Bryan Lee O'Malley and this is probably one of the best comics I've ever read. Its full of video game references, including boss battles and anime type stuff, but its totally an indie comedy romance type book. I have them if anyone else wants to read them, they are really good, I read them all within 24 hours. Except there is still one book left, so you are kind of left at a cliffhanger and it really sucks because you totally get into it but the next book wont be out until august. But its also being made into a super awesome movie, directed by Edgar Wright. Yeah, that Edgar Wright, the dude who directed Hot Fuzz and Shawn of the Dead. Also coming out in August. And as if thats not enough, they are making an old school side scrolling video game based on the series. So yeah, read it.

There are a few comics that are on my wish list. The problem - since comics cost as much as the shipping itself, I must wait and buy in bulk. Unfortunately I have reached my comic buying quota this month so these guys must sit and wait for me in some far away cold cell that is an online shopping cart.

self-concept

So here is what I am working on right now, lookin pretty cool so far I think. To get the picture of myself, i used the scanners to scan my face. This was very interesting and if you havent played with the scanners in this fashion, I highly recommending scanning your face (not your butt!) You can make some pretty hilarious images using that weird moving camera box thing.
